P32 IN THE WIND for the job. Turns out they were right. Tardozzi will report to Paolo Ciabatti, the pair having worked together previously with much success in World Superbike. Tardozzi, a former World Superbike racer himself, has been a part of seven World Championships during his time as Ducati's World Superbike team manager, working with the likes of Carl Fogarty, Troy Bayliss, Troy Corser, Neil Hodgson, and James Toseland. He begins his new role at the first MotoGP test at Sepang on February 4. M ichael McDade and Aaron Plessinger shared overall wins at round two of the 2014 AMSOIL Arenacross Series at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, January 10-11. Plessinger, in his first year in Arenacross racing, opened Friday night's racing with a win after passing McDade for the win. McDade went on to finish second ahead of defending champ Tyler Bowers. In race two, McDade got out in front early, while Plessinger, on the MyPlash/Star Racing/ Yamaha, got mired in the pack. McDade held off Bowers for the win, while Plessinger fought his way up to fifth. McDade's 2-1 gave him the overall victory for the night, while Bowers took second with a 3-2. Plessinger got on the podium with a 1-5. The second night of racing saw Plessinger come away with the overall win with a lopsided 4-1 tally, but it was enough to give him his first Arenacross PHOTOGRAPHY BY SHIFTONE PHOTOGRAPHY MCDADE, PLESSINGER RULE BALTIMORE ARENACROSS overall victory. Kawasaki rider Zach Ames was second overall with a 3-4, and KTM rider Willy Browning was third overall with a 7-2. Bowers and McDade were both crash victims on Saturday night, with Bowers going 2-14 for seventh overall, and McDade unable to break the top 10 overall after finishing third in the first race. After four of 19 races, Zach Ames is the new points leader. He leads McDade by eight points and Browning by 16 points. Plessinger also competed in the East Lites division on Friday and won, while Yamaha rider Keith Tucker topped Saturday's main. Plessinger crashed out of Saturday's Lites main.
