end that would go to Venegas, giving him second
place.
Nicholls was happy
with the win on the American's turf and his ability
to make the most out the
cards that were dealt.
"To get another stab at
it… I took full advantage
of that," Nicholls said. "I
felt for Billy [Janniro] because he was probably
the dominant guy tonight
and he wasn't on his bike
in the final. But you have to take
the chances when they are there
and I made the most of it."
As it is with speedway you can
work hard all night and have it
end in tears in the final. But while

it was obviously disappointing for
Janniro, he was still upbeat and
already focused on next year's
race for redemption.
"I heard they got a three-year
contract, so I'm coming back next
year to take it," Janniro said. "It
was actually a really good meeting… It's unfortunate what happened, but it's racing so we just
move on and go for the next one."
Looking back on the night Janniro had a lot to be pleased about
with his effort.
"Yeah, I felt really good," Janniro said. "Bike was fast. I mean
every time I got in the lead and I
looked back I was far ahead. So
things were going really good.
I felt fast and like you said, just
one bad incident and it ruins your
night. But, hey, I still had a great
night tonight and it was good for
speedway."
While it was a disappointing
finish for the dominant Janniro,
