250 class and finished a strong fifth
in the main event; TLD/Mav TV/Red
Bull Honda rider Malcolm Stewart
won the first 250 heat race and was
battling up front in the main before
dropping back a couple of positions
and then clipping a downed rider that
caused him to fall back to eighth;
Red Bull/KTM's newest member
Dean Ferris made his Supercross
debut in the 250 class and finished
14th, saying, " I am very new to Supercross racing so every week will continue to be a learning experience."…
GEICO Honda's Zach Bell was back
in action, but he had troubles with his
goggles fogging and ended up 15th in
the 250 main.
Third-placed Chad Reed (22)
tried to hold off runner-up
Ryan Dungey (5).
Ryan Dungey go 1-2, the Austrian
company also got a win in the
250 main - thanks to a gutsy lastlap pass for the lead by Rockstar
Energy Racing Team's Jason Anderson.
For runner-up Dungey, it was
a typical performance by the former Supercross champ. He got

ended up second.
"My start wasn't the greatest,
but laps one through 10 were decent," Dungey said. "I made some
good passes and got into fourth,
then kind of got stuck in a slump
there. I wanted to make passes
happen quicker than I did. The
track tonight was tough, it was really slippery. There weren't a lot
of lines for passing, so when you
tried to force things a little more,
you'd end up making a mistake, so
I tried to keep it clean and consistent. I kind of picked things up a
little better and was able to get
into second. From there, I had to
make a run on Kenny [Roczen],
but just kind of ran out of time."
Chad Reed took advantage of a
great start and the falls by Villopoto
and Stewart to get on the podium
in what was a very good debut on
his Discount Tires/TwoTwo Motorsports Kawasaki. He showed
signs of the Reed of old and made
it an international podium with the
Australian joining the German and
American on the box.
As for Anderson, he nailed his
second 250 Supercross win of
his career (his first coming last
