I should win. It turns out, that last
race was probably the best race I
had all year. I didn't have any tipovers and I felt like I rode smart
all day and when I had the opportunity to take the lead I did so."
Russell and Mullins are teammates on the high-powered FMF/
KTM off-road team and because
of that, they pit from the same
team hauler, which can make for
a few uncomfortable situations
when it comes down to competition between teammates. However, according to Russell, there
was surprisingly little tension in
the team pits.
"There was a little bit of tension, but not much," says Russell. "I know he wanted to win just
as much as I did. It wasn't that we
were mad at each other, or anything, but we kind of gave each
