TM will again offer a Factory Edition version of its 450 SX-F motocrosser for the 2014 model year.
The bike features a number of differences
between it and the standard 450 SX-F,
such as being fitted with the new fourchamber WP 4CS fork, instead of the
previous bladder WP fork. Updates have
been made to the frame, swingarm,
linkages (for a more linear curve),
front axle and front axle clamp,
which has been relocated to increase trail. The orange-anod-
P63
ized triples clamps are new, as are the
front and rear brake rotors. Dunlop's
new-generation MX52 tires are mounted to new black-colored rims. The Red
Bull graphics are unique to the Factory
Edition model and won't be sold separately. The Factory Edition gets plenty of
special equipment, including a titanium
Akrapovic muffler, orange powder-coated frame, limited edition commemorative
badge, new Selle Dalla Valle blue raceteam seat, a holeshot device and orange
frame guards, rear sprocket and radiator
louvers. KTM claims that the Factory Edition weighs 1.4 pounds lighter than the
standard 450 SX-F. The Factory Edition
will sell for $9899 and only 699 will
be built for the US market.
