CN III VOICES P16 LETTERS TO THE EDITOR "Remember when the Superbikes seemed unattainable, and the men on them were gods. I miss that." Remembering Kurt Thank you for the very heartwarming as well as heartbreaking story about Kurt Caselli. Our grandson waited for several hours to personally meet Kurt at Malcolm Smith's dealership some months ago. Kurt politely answered question after question from all of the adults in the room and finally interrupted the question and answer session to say, "I need to talk to this young man right here in front." Brennan's hero posed for a remarkable picture with both of them giving the thumbs up sign and a grin from ear to ear. Brennen, who is four years old, rode his PW50 (in KTM colors) around the entire six-mile Youth National H&H course with his family and wearing his "Hero" jersey with that special picture on his chest. Like one of the riders said at the memorial service, "it's tough when Superman is no longer around to help." Doriano Romboni II Too much tragedy in motorcycle racing of late. Godspeed, Doriano Romboni. Doriano Romboni This is so sad. He was such a tenacious racer. Godspeed Mr. Romboni. Two-Day AMA Road Racing Is having two-day AMA road races another way to make racing closer by not allowing top teams to fully capitalize on their Jim Watson Via the Internet Wayne Parducci Via Facebook Shane Smith Via the Internet Laguna's World Superbike The reason for the dismal attendance at Laguna Seca's World Superbike event was having one World Superbike race on Saturday and the other on Sunday. How damn stupid was that? But according to Gill Cambell (Laguna's general manager), she's not going to do that format again so I'll be there on Sunday to enjoy two World Superbike races. Brian Aalberts Via Facebook Laguna's World Superbike II I'm disappointed that MotoGP won't be at Laguna for 2014, but this might be my first World Superbike race in person. I love Monterey and Laguna! Scott Ryan Via Facebook strengths. Soon it will be more exciting to watch a track day. Remember when the Superbikes seemed unattainable, and the men on them were gods. I miss that. Chris Green Via Facebook Two-Day Road Racing II Amen. Not sure who can afford to spend four days at a race anymore. Glad to see them tighten up the program. Phillip E.
