ALEXANDER FRYE
Maryland's Alexander Frye was a contender earlier in
the week during the Supercross portion but failed to win
any titles, but he did finish second, third, fourth and 11th.
When the racing went "outdoors," however, he showed the
competition his true skills in the Schoolboy 1, Schoolboy 1
Limited, and Schoolboy 2 classes, as he wrapped up all
three titles on Saturday. "I knew it was going to be a good
day when I woke up, but I had no idea it would be this
good," Frye said. "It was way better than Supercross and
shows the work I put in with Jeannie Carmichael, training
outdoors every day." Frye said that this event was his final Schoolboy race and that he will be racing in the "B"
classes exclusively next year.

JERRY ROBIN
After making a name for himself last summer by qualifying for Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals aboard his vintage Honda CR250R two-stroke, Robin has been racing
the amateur nationals circuit and showing that he is not a
one-hit wonder. Robin was a frontrunner in four of the five
classes at the Mini Os and even won a qualifying motocross moto in 250 B Limited. "A lot of people thought I was
just hype and all that, but I've only been on four-strokes for
like two months," he said. "Overall, I feel like I rode well.
Once I get more time on them [four-strokes] and get used
to them, I will get even better." Robin went on to say, "I've
never really done Supercross before, so I didn't do too well
in that, but in motocross, I got a pair of seconds and a third
and a fourth and feel like I'll be even better by the time the
Spring Nationals come around."

RYAN SURRATT
Corona, California's Ryan Surratt claimed a championship
title in the 450 B Limited Motocross class, and he was a
contender in most of the other classes he raced, reaching
the podium multiple times over the week. "I got a bunch
of bad starts and couldn't get it done in five laps in most
of those races, so I guess I have to go home and work
on my starts," the Yamaha Rockstar/MSR-backed rider
explained. "The races are pretty short, so it's hard to work
back up front after you don't start well." Surratt's overalls
also included a second, two thirds and a fourth.
