GLEN HELEN RACEWAY/SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA
MOTOCROSS
RED BULL A DAY IN THE DIRT
and Robbie Maddison, to name
a few. But multi- AMA champion
Doug Henry was most recognizable on the track in his custom
Yamaha 450.
Henry, enjoying his second
visit to the A Day In The Dirt, said,
"This event is awesome. It's a lot
of fun and that's what brings me
out here. I love the hills here at
Glen Helen. For me it's so much
fun rippin' up them hills and going back down again. It's really
nice; it's a low-pressure event, so
the racing is a lot of fun. I don't
get back on the west coast very
much and it's really nice to see
familiar faces, say hello, hang out
and catch up on what everyone
is doing."
(Above) Desert racer Tom Kelly
handled pit-board duties for his son,
Evan.
(Above right) Craig Monty, Chad
Reed's former technician, knows a
thing or two about helping out his
rider, in this case, it's his son, Myles.
(Right) Blake Savage won the Coupe
de Grace.
Cycle News test rider Jason
Abbott also took part. "The Day
In The Dirt is such a cool event,"
Abbott said. "This is the second
year I've done it and I really don't
want to miss this event from now
on. Everybody out here seems
cool because it's not really a high
stress, but all about fun, and I
really enjoy that kind of atmosphere. The racing out here is
