the pack came piling in on him,
including old rival David Knight,
who dropped his Sherco right on
top of Taddy's KTM.
"I went to roll into the firepit
and the firewood had moved and
I went over the bars, super slow,
and I was done," Taddy said. "I
thought he [Brown] was gone,
but he was right there. It was crazy. At that point, I was just trying
to pick up my bike underneath
the three other guys – it was just
crazy."
This was Brown's opportunity to come back and do some
damage, but he too dropped
his bike right next to Taddy's. As
the pack rode past, Taddy and
Brown found themselves leaning
on each other trying to get going
again. When they did, Brown was
just in front of Taddy while running about seventh; Geoff Aaron
was the new race leader.
Amazingly, the next time
through the log pile, Brown and
Taddy again found themselves
leaning on each other when

and Taddy. But the log pile would
strike again.
On the very next lap, Brown
would again bobble, allowing
Taddy to catch him. The two
raced side by side down the next
rock section with Taddy making
the pass on Brown.

laying on top of Taddy. I tried getting
off the bike but my hand went into
the wheel and got my wrist a little bit.
That was my race there, really. After
that I just rode around and just wanted to get to the finish and see what
happens. It feels good, it's good to
be back and I know what I need to
improve."
When David Knight found himself
on top of Taddy Blazusiak, he immediately thought, "Oh no, from six
years ago, everyone was probably
thinking, 'ah, payback,' but it was just
chaos out there," Knight said. He
was referring to the final round in '06
when Taddy joined the series, won
the race and denied Knight a big
paycheck that was on the line that
night. "I was like, 'man, I don't want
