Jacobsen will ride for the established Intermoto Ponyexpres Kawasaki team on one of its ZX6Rs. The Intermoto team has two fourth-place finishes to its credit over the past two seasons with the likes of Luca Scassa, David Salom and Florian Marino at the controls. Scassa finished eighth in the 2013 championship with Marino 13th in the final standings. The 2014 team will feature Jacobsen, Marino and Tony Covena, an upstart from the European 600cc Superstock Championship. "This is an incredibly exciting opportunity," said Jacobsen, who finished ninth in the British Superbike Championship in 2013.
