NOVEMBER 9-10, 2013 LAKE ELSINORE DIAMOND/LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA OFF ROAD P98 45TH LAKE ELSINORE GRAND PRIX The Elsinore GP gives racers the rare opportunity to race on city streets and run stop signs without worry of being thrown in jail. the Widowmaker. At the base of the mountain, you had to make a sharp left turn and you have to shoot straight up this hill. It's really marbley and people were falling left and right. "I've been doing this particular race now for about seven to eight years," McKenzie added. "It seems like it's been getting bigger and bigger every year; they said they had 1200 entrants so competition is very stiff." McKenzie's teammate Alex Regalado had his first experience of the Lake Elsinore Grand Prix on Saturday, "I've never raced this event and it's my first time. I was quite shocked at how rough it got actually. I was doing my best to hold on the whole time; the hardest part [of the track] was probably the rocks because I'm short and can't touch the ground." Former professional Womens Motocross racer and 2011 XGames Bronze medalist Sara Price was in attendance for the races, competing on both a bike and in a UTV. "I've been doing a lot of the UTV stuff," Price said. "My boyfriend actually owns IMG Motorsports so it all worked out. It's fun - it's nice to be in something that you're a little more safe in. "I've raced the Elsinore Grand Prix ever since I was little and was one of my first races ever," Price said. "Today is the first day my whole family is in one race: my dad, my brother, me and my mom who's watching. But I'm really pumped to race against them; we have a very talented driving family. That's what it kind of all started from and somehow I ventured into motocross. Now I'm back into the driving, but I still have that love for motocross and will still continue to race here and there." With the success of the grand prix, next year's expectations will only be higher to meet. But with the historic passion that revs in the Lake Elsinore and motocross community, there is no doubt that it can be met with a whip or two. CN Harvey Mushman 100 1. Justin Seeds 2. Evan Kelly 3.
