and was pulling at Preston's tail
in the early laps but eventually hit
lapped traffic, which helped create a gap once again, giving Preston the win with another huge
margin. Jelen battled for fourth in
the first moto, but wound up fifth
before grabbing third in the second moto for third overall.
"The track was really rough the
first moto and seemed to separate everybody," said Preston. "I
won the first moto by a pretty big
margin, so I was thinking maybe
it would happen in the second
moto, but they graded the whole
track so it was really smooth.
Then I think Sleeter got really
fired up; he really stepped it up
and rode a lot better that second
moto and put a lot of pressure on
me. It's funny because Sleeter
and I kind of pulled away from
the rest of the field a lot quicker
in the second moto, but he really
upped the pace and was riding
good. I wasn't happy with how
I was riding, I felt like I started
thinking about him, not crashing,
and winning when I should've just
focused on the track. After last
year I was so close to winning so

I wanted to come out and just win
this year, which I did, but I didn't
ride well.
"I wanted to win both motos by
a large margin and I didn't do that
this year, so I'll probably be back
next year to do that," continued
