VOL. 50 ISSUE 41 OCTOBER 15, 2013 on Bryan at all. He did an amazing job this year. I had fun racing with him, but that was the team that protested me so I wanted to beat him by 19 just to say, 'Hey take 19 away I'll still beat you by 19.' But you know hats off to that whole crew; they're a class act and I had fun racing with them and we'll do the same thing next year. But the biggest thing is you just never get down no matter what. Doesn't matter if you're 10th - you can always come back. It's just never give up and always believe in yourself and that's what I did. And here we are. What are your plans for next year? Same program? "I have no clue just yet. Obviously, I got the opportunity to stay with the same people I have right now. There's been a lot of stuff going on that I might be factory Harley-Davidson next year. I got a lot of thinking to do. I haven't made any decisions just yet. But I'll be on a Harley-Davidson and I'll be on a fast, good looking one. It's just a matter if I'll be on the same ride this year or I might be a factory rider. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do just yet. Andrea Wilson HERRIN TO CATERHAM IMOTO2 TEAM t was confirmed at the Malay- Moto2 class. can't thank my I sian MotoGP that the team that will field 2013 AMA Superbike Champion Josh Herrin in the Moto2 World Championship next year is the newly formed Caterham Moto Racing Team. Herrin will ride a Suter Racing Technology chassis in the Honda-spec engine class with the team set to develop its own chassis over the next two years. "I could not be more excited about the opportunity to race with the Caterham Moto Racing Team," Herrin said in a team release. "It has been a goal of mine since I was young boy to race in the World Championship and it seems almost surreal now that the opportunity is finally here. I have been training very hard and I am ready to fight for great results in the super competitive manager Bob Moore enough for working so hard to get me on the best team for next year, and I want to thank everyone at Caterham Moto Racing Team for helping make my dream come true." Speaking at the Malaysian Grand Prix, Dato' Kamarudin explained why Caterham Group is expanding its motorsport interests into the two-wheel arena, in addition to four wheels: "I am delighted to confirm that we have had our entry into Moto2 accepted, and to be able to make this announcement at our home track of Sepang is a proud moment. Through AirAsia, Tony Fernandes and I have been passionate supporters of motorbike racing for many years and the establishment of our own team in Moto2 is the natural next step for Caterham Group." Josh Herrin will ride for the new Caterham team in the Moto2 World Championship next year. PHOTOGRAPHY BY BRIAN J. NELSON second behind him I win. If I beat him, I win. But I'd rather just win and in return win too. So that was kind of my main objective of what I wanted to do and it felt great. And you had the issue early on at Daytona with losing points. How did that affect you? I mean it just kind of gave me the eye of the tiger even more. I mean I pushed harder and just dug deep. I think I won by 16 or 17 points… I really wanted to beat him [Bryan Smith, who initiated the protest at Daytona] by 19 [points]. Because I got 19 points taken away and I'm not ragging P37
