WE TAKE A LOOK BACK AT THE 88TH
ISDE WHERE TEAM USA CAME BACK
HOLDING THEIR HEADS HIGH
STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY SHAN MOORE
T
he U.S. Trophy Team had a phenomenal ride
at last week's ISDE in Sardinia, Italy. The team
matched the Stars and Stripes' best-ever finish at the Six Days with a second place. The last time
the U.S. placed that high was in 1982. Still looking for
that first-ever ISDE gold medal, Team USA is certainly
heading in the right direction, more so now than ever.
Not only did the U.S. Trophy Team have solid success in Sardinia, so did many of the members of the
U.S. Junior, Women and Club teams, with three yanks
winning motos in the final MX test and only one rider
out of the total 32 U.S. contingent was unable to finish the event. Team USA also came home with 17 gold
medals. And how can we forget Jeff Fredette's 33rd
ISDE checkered flag?
Here's looking back at the Sardinia ISDE.
>>Off-road legend Christobal Guerrero
of Spain won the E1 division, which was
designated for 250cc motorcycles.
