than punished. Had this been
the case, the Yamaha rider would
have earned one himself, as he
strove to teach the young pup a
lesson. Sadly, points are awarded for results, and in this he was
the loser.
Lorenzo touched Marquez at
least once as they changed places over and again in a breathtaking battle in the early laps.
The Honda was faster, Marquez
aggressive, but Lorenzo was determined to show he could fight
just as hard.
In the end Marquez prevailed,
but it was an important milestone
for the 20-year-old. Marquez had
shown a different side, and he
had taken it on board, backing off
from his usual bullying tactics to
find another way. His final passing move was as ruthless as ever,
but much more mature. And then
for the first time, instead of chasing down his teammate Pedrosa
up front, "I thought of the championship, and the best decision
was to keep 20 points. Jorge
