I'd got around him and he passed
me back going through there like
I was sitting still."
Carlson also won the holeshot
award on the second-line start.

Not long afterward, Steve Leivan rode his Freedom Cycles Leo
Vince KTM past the checkered
flag in fifth place as the top-finishing Open A podium. Leivan held
off Darren Carlson, on the Moose
Racing Woodstock KTM, who took

Leivan said. "I followed Darren
(Carlson) for three laps, I guess.

to him trying that a couple times.
I knew I had to be right on him to
make it work, and I did that. Then

guys, and then there were about

was able to get a little bit of a gap
on him then. He was definitely

me over there in the straight section where you could just pin it.
