Jake Lewis (85) had his best ride
of the year, the young Kentuckian
leading JD Beach (95), Garrett Gerloff
(8), Bobby Fong (50), Beaubier (6)
and Jason DiSalvo for most of the
race en route to finishing second.
Lewis' runner-up, combined with
Rispoli's Sunday DNF, gave the
Kentuckian the edge in the final
standings. Perhaps more importantly, Lewis had the prime opportunity to study Beaubier from up
close during their recent battles.
