"I am definitely in the hunt
now," said Laverty. "Today was
important because I slipped 35
points behind yesterday and I
knew I had to beat Tom [Sykes]
today. I have to thank the two
other riders on the podium in
race two because they also beat
Tom and took some good points
from him in the championship. I
did everything I could at the end,
but it was a little too little too late
yesterday. But the will to win was
what pulled me through today,
because I was sliding the front
