Belgium's Clement
Desalle won the
first Open moto but
crashed out of the
second.
a big fight, me and Eli [Tomac],
but it was all fair and super fun to
ride. So, once I came to that finish, my personal goal was also to
hopefully win a moto. So, I definitely reached that and I'm super
stoked right now."
Late in the race, Barcia lost
the third spot to Belgium's Clement Desalle. Desalle finished
49 seconds behind Tomac on a
track with lap times in the range
of 1:45.
"The second moto, we were
so close in speed and even lines
around the track, to where it
was pretty much whoever got in
front of each other," Tomac said.
"Ken did have the country behind
him here today. I really think that
helped him make a push all the
way through there to the end. I
did do my best. And no excuses
from that first-moto crash either.
I was happy just to be out there
and come out swinging for that
second one."
Barcia hung on for fourth in
front of Ferris, Estonia's Tanel
Leok, Van Horebeek, and Italy's
Alessandro Lupino.
