The Tour-Pak design with its more angled features gives it a smaller appearance while in fact it offers four percent more storage space and still holds two full-face helmets. The interior has a new liner material and new map and tool-kit pouch. There is also a USB port for your tablet if you so desire. The newly positioned volume and communication controls are located on the exterior right side lower of the Tour-Pack and the pack can also be adjusted one-inch forward or backward to facilitate the repositioning of the passenger backrest. What else is cool is the introduction of the new One-Touch latch system to access the trunk with one hand. Just pull the latch on the new self-centering catch and you will be able to open and close the lid with ease. A new retractable tether fitted to the Tour Pack was another thing that was on the minds of the customers and now there are no worries about it getting caught outside the pack. The new saddle luggage also receives a more aggressive angled design and the One-Touch latch system. The latches work well and are hidden on the backside of the saddlebag compartment out of sight. The Tour-Pack is a key element to most Harley owners, especially those who ride two-up. Harley-Davidson went so far as to invest in a dedicated passenger test crew for the new models and after several hundred miles of testing they concluded that multiple changes were needed to address comfort issues for the passenger. The new passenger seat is thus one-inch wider and longer with the speakers repositioned one inch farther out on either side.
