Sunday in France.
[Fajardo] rode really well and
punished me. I was very nervous going into today, especially
about the rain and then when I
made some mistakes on the first
lap that put me in fourth place,
I thought it was not going to be
my day. In the end as a team we
did a good recovery and managed to win the trial and the title,
which feels so incredible at this

uha Salminen says he is going
to hang up his boots at the end
of this year's World Enduro Championship.
The 36-year-old racer from Finland holds more World Enduro
titles than any other rider with 13,
and he also has seven World Team
titles to his name in ISDE competition. In recent year's, Salminen
has raced for the KTM, BMW and
Husqvarna factory race teams. In
his early years, he also rode for
Gas Gas and Honda.
His first World Enduro title came
in 1998, beginning a run of six
straight WEC titles. He changed
gears a bit in 2005 when he came
to the U.S. and dominated the
GNCC Championship and was
named AMA Amateur Athlete of
the Year, as well as GNCC Rider
of the Year. Salminen captured his
second GNCC title in 2006 before
heading back to Europe, where he
