Sunday's event was tightened up a bit by the organizers to make it a little more high scoring for the Pro riders, but Smage was in much better form and handled the sections with confidence. Other than a one in section sev- en, Smage cleaned the entire rest of the event. Webb, on the other hand, had a disastrous first lap, dropping nine points total, which included a five, a two and a pair of ones. A five on lap two and a single dab on the third lap gave Webb a total of 15 points and he was forced to settle for a distant second behind Smage. "That was a lot better," Smage said after the event.
