"I had a good solid ride and the Husaberg worked really well today," Bobbitt added. "I'm just happy to get another win and looking forward to the next round in Iowa." While the day might've been fun for Bobbitt, it was a frustrating one for Fahringer. After blowing up the motor on his usual Husaberg 300 mount, Fahringer was frustrated with the lack of bottom-end grunt provided by his backup 250. "It was definitely challenging," said Fahringer, "especially on an unfamiliar bike. I know [race promoter] Bill [Gusse] aims to challenge us, and I was challenged, so I guess in that aspect it was good." Finishing one lap down to Bobbitt and Fahringer after having put in eight laps of trail, 30-39 Aclass winner Curtis Ryan and his RC1 Performance Cheap Cycle Parts Yamaha took third place overall followed by Marty Michaels on the Gill Roofing House of Horsepower KTM 300 XC. He also took second in the 30-39 A class. Steve Leivan rounded out the overall top five, riding the Freedom Cycles Dunlop Tires Silkolene KTM 250 two-stroke for the Open A-class win. "Overall it was a good day," Leivan said. "I'm not good at reading the trail fast enough, though. I really feel like I've been struggling this year at the beginning. (Right) Steve Leivan said it took him a while to get going but once he did, he ran off with the Open A-class win. Once he did get going, though Leivan was rolling well and picking off riders, capitalizing on mistakes made by those in front of him. "I felt like I rode pretty good the last couple laps," he said.
