norm, Valentino Rossi
(46) and Alvaro Bautista
(19) battled over fourth
place with Rossi getting
the spot.
His bike all but ran into Cal
Crutchlow and marshals rescuing
the Englishman (his third tumble
of the weekend), but the Spaniard, who had qualified on pole
and was looking for a fifth win
in a row, finally ran out of luck.
He walked off clearly injured. It
turned out to be his collarbone,
not broken but dislocated from
his shoulder joint.
It seemed as though finally Pedrosa and Lorenzo might get their
own back on the runaway cham-
pionship leader, whose biggest
profit came through their injuries.
Surely he would be out of the
race, or at best riding for points,
in damage limitation mode.
No sir. He was passed fit to
ride, caused some worries when
