third outdoor Australian Motocross title of his career after
finishing third at the final round of
the year in Queensland, Australia
on September 1. But for the Team
Motul Pirelli Suzuki Team rider, it
was his first in the MX1 class as
his other two titles, in 2009 and
2011, came in the MX2 class.
Moss won the opening
30-minute moto then finished a
calculated ninth in moto two to
seal the deal. In all, he won five
of the 10 championship rounds.
"I feel really good," Moss said.
"I'm a happy guy at the moment;
we've had such a great year. It
was a little bit out of reach at the
start, but Jay Foreman turned me
around and said, 'you can win this',
and we've done exactly that."

said the championship came as
a result of the team's hard work,
combined with Moss' determination to succeed in the sport. After finishing a close runner-up in
Matt Moss won
the Australian
Motocross
Championship
in the MX1
class.
2012, victory this year was ultraspecial for the entire team.
"We had an awesome day, as
the whole year has been," said
Foreman. "We had to work our
way into it with Matt entering the
season under an injury cloud,
plus he didn't have a lot of racing
last year.
"He's built momentum every
week and improved so much. It
just shows the maturity Matt has
gained in his racing today and it's
a great result for the entire team."
Second in the championship
went to final-round winner Todd
Waters, followed by Billy Mackenzie, Cody Cooper and Kirk
Gibbs.
Luke Styke claimed the MX2
title over Kale Makeham and
Brock Winston.
