fourth.
Day two at the beach saw
grey morning skies turn blue
at around noon, but the waves
would give the guys and girls issues all day during the multiple
heats. There were bigger sets
breaking farther out in the morning, which worked best for the
pro surf crowd, but for the others… well, whitewater waves
pushed a majority of the moto
group to shore.
Chris Ploufe was one of the
best moto guys in the water and
with his teammate Jesse Heilman destroying every wave he
caught, they went on to get top
spot in the Pro Surf portion.
Garcia and Webb had a good
run, claiming second behind
Heilman and Ploufe. But that was

ahead of the Robbins/Dudek
and Jake Davis/Dakota Tedder
teams.

GLOVER RIDE
BACK ON TAP
B
roc Glover's Breathe Easy
fundraiser is back for 2013
with this year's event to be run
in conjunction with the 2013 Celebration of the Motorcycle in Del
Mar, California.
The benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be led by
the six-time AMA National Champion and Hall of Famer and will
be held on September 14.
"This year we are hosting a
ride-in to the Del Mar Celebration of the Motorcycle," Glover
said. "It's going to be a really
fun event with the MidAmerica
Auction and the Bobbers, Choppers and Custom Bike show going on. There's also going to be
live music, food, autographs and
shopping. We're really looking
forward to rounding up riders
from all around the Southwest to
not only have a great time, but
to help raise money for the CF
[Cystic Fibrosis] Foundation."
Glover's connection to the CF
Foundation and CF research efforts runs deep, as his 11-yearold son Dayne is afflicted with
the disease.
"Thankfully, with lots of help
from motorcyclists everywhere,
we've been able to raise funds
and raise awareness of Cystic
Fibrosis," Glover explained. "We
hope to keep that effort going
this year with the Breathe Easy
Ride-In."
