CN III VOICES P18 LETTERS TO THE EDITOR "Even if I could attend all three U.S. MotoGPs, Laguna Seca is the only one I am interested in." MotoGP TV I returned from a week's ride up to Oregon Raceway for an August 17-18 weekend with CLASS Motorcycle Schools and when I got home Tuesday evening the Indy MotoGP was recorded on my DirecTV recorder, starting with Saturday's qualifying and all three classes: MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 had their races recorded on Sunday. DirecTV channel 219 Fox Sports 1 HD. Hope Tony Wright of Texas got to see the action... Joe Kerr Del Rey Oaks, CA Liked Indy Just a quick note to say what a great weekend we had at the 2013 Indy Moto GP. Thank you everyone involved in making it happen. I'd also like to thank Tyler O'Hara of the Harley XR1200 class for "schooling me" about tires... he invited me over to his transporter and spent time encouraging me for track days. Get well soon, Tyler! Just when you don't think the weekend can get any better, I saw Ski (Dave Sadowski) in the Vance & Hines XR1200 pits. He was warming up #93's bike and asked me if I could keep an eye on the bike while he ran took care of other business. While he was walking away he said, 'Hey, blip the throttle a couple times and make sure that thing is ready to go.' I asked him if we were going to see him on the track sometime soon and he said he hopes to return on a Superbike. Hey, sponsors, these are two riders (Tyler and Dave) who truly care about their fans and know how to make the sport grow! Help them and they'll help your business grow. Thanks guys and I hope to see you again sometime. Joe Wahrer Fryburg, OH Hayden's Plight I sure hope Nicky Hayden gets a first-class ride in Moto GP. I'd sure like to see him on something competitive and see how he does. Kirby Stanislaus Via Facebook Wanting Laguna Seca Even if I could attend all three U.S. MotoGPs, Laguna Seca is the only one I am interested in. Indy is not a real track from a road-racing standpoint and the Austin track owners just don't get it - or motorcycles, or the culture. My only regret about Laguna Seca is the lack of adequate garage space to host Moto 2 and Moto 3. Having the AMA as filler just is not the same experience. Bruce Monighan Via Facebook Wanting Laguna II From a spectator perspective, very few GP-quality tracks in the U.S. compare to Laguna Seca. There's quite a bit of upclose and personal viewing with easy access to both sides of the track vs. being stuck in the bleacher seats. Laguna over Indy? Without a doubt. Timothy Keyes Via the Internet Wanting Laguna III Even if I could go to all three MotoGPs in the U.S., Indy just isn't even worth considering. It's not a road race circuit, just an afterthought at best. I'd go to Austin because it looks pretty impressive, but being that I live in Southern California hitting Laguna Seca is just such a great ride to get there and such a pristine piece of road racing history that it can't be skipped. If it gets dropped from the calendar I probably won't attend any MotoGP races and I'll be sad. Keep that in mind, Dorna - you don't want to make me sad do you?
