THE ORIGINAL GOAT
One of motocross's "good guys,"
Goat Breker was also one of the
fastest big-bore racers of the early
1980s. His best AMA season came
in 1984, when the factory-backed
Kawasaki rider finished third in the
500cc Nationals behind David Bailey
and Broc Glover. Pictured here at
California's Sunrise Valley Cycle
Park in 1984, Breker also defended
his CMC Golden State Nationals
500cc title that year. After racing,
he promoted the GFI MX Series,
developed GFI sunglasses, revived
the Elsinore Grand Prix and
operated Goat's Sky Ranch.
