Neave Wins FIM Flat Track
World Championship
B
ritish rider Tim Neave (VRX
Power Maxed Dirt Store
Ducati) clinched the 2026 FIM
Flat Track World Championship
at the 10th and final round in
Totoras, Argentina, on Sunday,
October 25, as home hotshot
Juan Jose Coduri (KTM) raced
to victory in an action-packed
final.
After the penultimate round
on Saturday, October 24, at the
TT course, the series signed off
on the more familiar oval circuit,
where Argentinian racers used
home advantage to dominate
the championship regulars.
Neave started the event need-
ing just one point to claim the
crown, and a win in his third heat
guaranteed him a top 20 finish—
and that all-important point—to
strike FIM gold.
A few American riders com-
peted. Former champion Sammy
Halbert went out in Sunday's
LCQ, capping a disappointing
weekend for him.
Last-minute entry Dalton
Gauthier had a strong showing
representing Royal Enfield and
the Sherpa 450 for the first time.
Despite having zero time on the
bike before the race, Gauthier
topped his heat and finished fifth
in Saturday's TT.
Gauthier carried that momen-
tum into the season finale short
track on Sunday, setting the
fastest time in both practice ses-
sions against the 32-rider field.
He then translated that speed
into race pace. In a heat, Gauth-
ier passed Neave's Ducati and
built a 1.5-second advantage.
Unfortunately for Gauthier,
a mechanical in the main was
a disappointing finish, but the
Johnny Lewis-run Royal Enfield
team still put in a positive effort,
Royal Enfield's best in the cham-
pionship overall.
