Ryde Claims Historic Third Straight BSB Title K yle Ryde (Nitrous Coin Ni- trous Competitions Racing) secured his third consecutive British Superbike Championship title at Brands Hatch, bringing the 2026 season to a close as Scott Redding (Hager PBM Racing Team) won the first two races and Ryan Vickers (Honda Racing UK) finished the year with victory in the final encounter. Redding arrived at the sea- son finale with a mathematical chance of taking the champi- onship and wasted little time applying pressure. The Ducati rider charged through the field in Saturday's opening race to take the checkered flag, with Ryde finishing second and Vickers completing the podium. The result kept Redding's title ambitions alive heading into Sunday's doubleheader. Race two produced another showdown between Redding and Ryde, with the pair battling at the front as the champion- ship leader Ryde looked to close out the title. Redding again came out on top, taking his sec- ond win of the weekend, while Bradley Ray (McAMS Yamaha) finished runner-up and Ryde crossed the line in third. That result confirmed Ryde as cham- pion with one race still to run. The achievement gave Ryde a place in the championship record books, having now won three titles in succession. His 2026 campaign was particularly notable after changing manu- facturers, moving from Yamaha to Ducati machinery for the new season, and maintaining his position at the top of the stand- ings. Vickers provided a fitting finish to the season in the third race, taking control in chal- lenging wet conditions. Ryde remained close throughout the contest, but Vickers held his advantage to secure the final victory of the year. Joe Talbot (AJN Steelstock bimota) claimed third place for his first BSB podium, while Redding finished fourth. Ryde finished the champi- onship on 596 points, ahead of Redding on 550, with Ray completing the top three overall on 457. CN Race One (Top 5) 1. Scott Redding (Duc) 20:02:408 2.
