to wrap up the title over a heart-
broken Salvador.
He ended the first year of this
new class with 245 points to
Salvador's 237.
WorldWCR
It took Maria Herrera (Terra &
Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR)
only one race at Jerez to make
sure of the title again.
She was only fifth, but that
was more than enough.
In the opening race, Paola
Ramos (Klint Racing Team) won
even after having a double long-
lap penalty, making her win over
Beatriz Neila (Ampito Crescent
Yamaha) and third-placed Rober-
ta Ponziani (Klint Racing Team) a
thing of wonder.
Ramos then went on to beat
Neila by 0.130 of a second in a
second-race thriller.
The fight for third place saw
Chloe Jones (Monster Energy
Cresent Yamaha) battle past Her-
rera right at the end to take a first
podium since Misano.
In the title chase, Herrera ended
up with 250 points, Neila 222.
