2027 Ducati Panigale V4 S First Look D ucati continues its develop- ment of the Panigale V4 for 2027, with the latest generation gaining more engine perfor- mance, revised chassis dynam- ics, updated aerodynamics and electronics designed to improve control on the racetrack. At the heart of both the Panigale V4 and V4 S is Ducati's 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale 90-degree V4. For 2027, revisions to the intake, exhaust and lubrication sys- tems increase claimed output to 218 horsepower at 13,500 rpm and 89 lb-ft of torque at 11,000 rpm. The rev-limiter is also raised to 500 rpm to 15,000 rpm in second through fifth gears, while taller final gearing of 17:42 reduces the number of shifts required around a circuit. The old model ran 16:41. Aerodynamic updates include a new high-flow intake derived from the Panigale V4 R and revised dual-profile winglets with larger endplates. Ducati says the intake can contribute up to 1.3 additional horsepower at 186 mph, while the aerodynamic package is designed to improve stability at speed. The chassis receives a new front frame, with lateral stiffness reduced by 12 percent. Ducati says the change improves front-tire contact and rider confidence at high-lean angles. The wheelbase is also shortened by 8mm to improve agility during direction changes. The electronics package receives significant attention, including new Dynamic Engine Brake Control and Race Brake Control. The systems work with Ducati's Vehicle Observer and cornering ABS to manage brak- ing forces and rear-wheel behav- ior during hard deceleration, help- ing riders brake later and carry more speed into corners. The Panigale V4 S adds electronically controlled Öhlins suspension, forged aluminum wheels and a lithium battery, reducing its claimed wet weight without fuel to 412 pounds com- pared with 421 pounds for the standard V4. The standard model uses fully adjustable Showa BPF fork and Sachs shock. Expected to be in North Ameri- can dealers in April 2027, the Panigale V4 starts at $27,995, while the V4 S comes in with a starting MSRP of $35,995. The S version also joins Ducati's Fac- tory Made program, which offers expanded factory customization with multiple colors, liveries and factory-installed performance op- tions. CN VOLUME 63 ISSUE 42 OCTOBER 20, 2026 P29 The 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 S gets a touch more of everything—horsepower, chassis improvements and aero… don't forget aero.
