Behind the top four and
fifth-placed Pedro Acosta, Marc
Marquez (Lenovo Ducati) fin-
ished sixth at the Indonesian GP
after an unexpected Sprint win
on Saturday, meaning the points
now swing Martin's way by
just two as they head to Phillip
Island for one final time in two
weeks' time.
In Moto2, the bleeding contin-
ues for Manuel Gonzalez (Liqui
Moly Dynavolt Intact GP Kalex)
as the Spaniard lost another five
points to winner Izan Guevara
(bLU cRU Pramac Yamaha
Moto2 Kalex). At least Gonzalez
stayed ahead of a hurting third-
placed Dani Holgado (CFMOTO
Power Electronics Aspar Team
Kalex) to keep the title damage
to a minimum.
In Moto3, who else but the kid
dubbed "The Killer"? Max Quiles
(CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team
KTM) dominated proceedings,
taking an easy 2.9-second win
over David Almansa (Liqui Moly
Dynavolt Intact GP KTM) and
Brian Uriarte (Red Bull KTM
Ajo) to wrap up the 2026 Moto3
World Championship with an
incredible five rounds to spare.
(Left) Turn one, lap one of the
Sprint: As Marc Marquez (red)
runs wide, he forces Bezzecchi
(red and white helmet) to check
up, and Raul Fernandez (blue) has
nowhere to go but straight into
his back, taking both riders down.
Jorge Martin (89) ducks under
them to take the lead. (Bottom)
With two broken fingers in his right
hand, Fernandez (25) rode a gutsy
race, but Bezzecchi (72) was never
denied, and the Italian pulled clear
for his first win since Mugello.

37 PEDRO ACOSTA
6TH/5TH MOTOGP
"I was struggling all race with the
front tire pressure, and I was losing
massive time letting Marc past then
passing him again, him going past and
then struggling to pass again!" Acosta
said. "[Ai] Ogura caught us and I lost a
lot of time with these things and it took
away the possibility of being in the top
four. Anyway, we made a good race. I
think we took the maximum we could.
First non-Aprilia and much better than
yesterday. I'm happy."
20 FABIO QUARTARARO
9TH/9TH MOTOGP
"It was hot and physically demand-
ing. I was struggling a lot on the first
five laps, but I was able to maintain
my position," Quartararo said. "After
Moto2 and Moto3, the track condi-
tions changed a lot, so I had some is-
sues stopping in turn one and turn 10,
but my feeling with the front was not
so bad, so I could compensate a little
bit. I saw that [Fabio] Di Giannantonio
was struggling, but I came just one
lap short. Also, on the last five laps,
I destroyed my tires. But I'm really
happy with the race. It's quite a great
result getting P9 again."
