VOLUME ISSUE OCTOBER , P33 The Street Triple is going to be a bigger, more aggressive beast in 2027. Beta Introduces 2027 RS Dual Sport Models B eta claims its new range of RS dual sport models "is the closest thing to a street- legal, full competition model money can buy." The RSs are based on the Beta RR X-Pro range but add a few dual sport touches, including a Trail Tech Voyager GPS, fold-down mirrors and a high-output LED headlight. The RS range comes in four engine sizes: 350, 390, 430 and 500. Updates for 2027 include strengthening of the frame and titanium valves, along with a new mechanical chain tensioner that is claimed to reduce internal friction and ensure smoother engine operation and more consis- tent starting, whether the motor is hot or cold. The airbox has been redesigned; the final- drive chain guide and front sprocket guard are said to be stronger, and the grips are made from a softer compound. Pricing is as follows: RS 350 $12,390; RS 390 $12,490; RS 430 $12,590; and RS 500 $12,690. All models will be available in De- cember. CN Triumph Unveils 2027 Street Triple 798 T riumph is giving its Street Triple a major perfor- mance boost for 2027, replacing the 765 with a new 798cc triple and a ground-up chassis redesign. Triumph has released the first images of the new Street Triple 798 ahead of its full unveiling on November 17, with complete specifications still under wraps. The most significant change is the engine, which is derived from Triumph's develop- ment work for the 2027 Moto2 World Champion- ship. The new 798cc triple represents the next generation of Triumph's Moto2 powerplant, following seven seasons with the 765cc engine. While Triumph has yet to announce production power and torque figures, the 2027 Moto2 engine is expected to produce approximately 150 horse- power—around six percent more than the current race engine. The production Street Triple is unlikely to approach that figure, but increased performance over the current 765cc RS is expected. The engine isn't the only major change. The new Street Triple features a completely revised chassis, with a substantially different frame and swingarm giving the motorcycle a more muscular appearance. The rear-suspension layout has also been revised, while a new underslung exhaust replaces the outgoing system. The 2027 Street Triple 798 will make its full debut on November 17, with pricing, availability and complete technical specifications expected at that time. CN The 2027 Beta RS dual sport range returns with a few notable updates.
