The maneuver earned him a two-po- sition penalty, however, promot- Sam Drane (Yamaha bLU cRU Estenson Racing) finished second to strengthen his hold on third in the championship standings. The battle for third provided the race's biggest drama, with Jake Paige (Team Hammer) and Derek Sanchez (Real Steel Honda) trad- ing the position repeatedly over the final four laps. Sanchez held third heading into the final lap, but Paige made a last-gasp pass to take the position by eight- thousandths of a second.
