Championship.
"We did what we could," said
sentimental favorite Roczen.
"I had a good first moto. I was
second the whole time. We got
messed up with lappers, and
that cost me a bit. Me, Haiden
and Hunter were neck and neck
that race, so I was able to finish
second in the first race.
"In the second race, I shot out
of the gate and hit the bump
that was right in front of it, which
dropped my front wheel in and
popped my holeshot device out.
I pretty much had a terrible start,
so I had to make my way up. I
kind of jammed my wrist in the
sand section on the first lap.
There were so many flat landings
on this track, and after us hitting
them the last two days, the land-
ings were completely gone. You
were pretty much flat-landing
the whole time, so my wrist was
starting to get pretty sore.
"We brought it home in fifth
in the second one and finished
fourth overall in the champion-
ship," Roczen added. "It was
what it was. We had a good shot
circulated just behind Prado and
Deegan in both races and was
there to pounce should either
make a critical mistake, but no
such luck for him. Third on the
night put Lawrence third in the
SMX points as he ends a break-
out year with an extra $250,000.
Despite finishing third in the
SMX Championship and missing
out on the million-dollar champi-
onship-winning payout, Lawrence
focused on the positives. "What
a long year, but it was amazing,"
Lawrence said. "I've got a lot of
good things in my life right now.
A great result tonight and now
we go into the off-season looking
for more next year."
Roczen started the night right
on Deegan's heels, finishing
second in the first moto. He also
had a real shot at the title going
into Missouri and even going
into the second and final moto,
but the Suzuki rider needed
a great start and a win for a
chance at the SMX number one
plate. Unfortunately for him, nei-
ther materialized for the 2026
AMA Supercross Champion.
Instead, he went 2-5 for fourth

THERE GOES MY HERO
Saturday night marked Eli Tomac's
final race as a professional. The
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider
finished 12th on the night, which
placed him just outside the top
10 in SMX points. "It has sunk in,"
Tomac said. "I was trying to have
fun out there, but to be straight up,
there were some stressful mo-
ments for me. What a ride it has
been. I've gotten to literally live the
dream, and it's sure been a ride.
I'm so thankful for everyone, and
I've said this a million times, but
I truly am grateful for the whole
family of Supercross and Pro Mo-
tocross. Thank you to everyone."

The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna
Factory Racing team is set to close
up shop now that the 2026 SMX
Championship is over. The team
announced a few months ago
that it would no longer run a full-
factory race effort after the 2026
season. It is expected to spread
its resources to other established
