Ferrandis Finishes Professional Career

ylan Ferrandis announced
that the SMX finale in Ridge-
dale, Missouri, would be his last
professional race. A former 250
Supercross and 450 Pro Moto-
cross Champion, Ferrandis had
an impressive career in the U.S.
after racing overseas in the FIM
Motocross World Championship.
"I have been riding dirt bikes
since [I was] 3 years old all
around the world and this life has
been exactly what I wanted," Fer-
randis said before his final race
at the SMX Playoffs round in Mis-
souri. "It's been a great year with
the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull
Ducati Factory Racing Team, and
we will try to finish the season on
a high note and enjoy these last
few moments of racing."
This year, the French rider
joined the Ducati program, as did
teammate Justin Barcia, who is
also leaving the squad, as the
team took its first laps, earned
its first top 10, and reached its
highest finish: fourth overall. He
helped develop a new motor-
cycle and a new racing program
into a competitive effort on
American soil.
"So, yeah, that's the last one.
No more racing for me," Ferrandis
continued. "I'm very proud and
happy. It was a great season, and
I really enjoyed working with the
team and everyone involved. It
was a pleasure. There is a bright
future for this bike and this team,
and I wish them the best. I'll see
them next year, but as a fan."
The Ducati team is again ex-
pected to have two all-new riders
for the 2027 SMX season.

he 2027 MotoGP calendar
has been released, featuring
22 rounds beginning in Thailand
on March 5-7 and concluding in
Valencia on November 26-28.
Two new venues include Bue-
nos Aires and the much-antici-
pated debut of the new Adelaide
Street Circuit.
