It's been a while since Prado led
a championship. You'd have to
look all the way back to 2024 to
find the last time he held a red
plate when he clinched a sec-
ond consecutive MXGP World
Championship. Now in 2026, the
Spanish rider is controlling the
points for the first time on U.S.
soil. Prado entered round two
of the Playoffs with the cham-
pionship lead and proved that
was no fluke. He was arguably
the fastest rider on track and
logged a pair of second-place
results, first behind Ken Roczen
and later behind Hunter Law-
rence, both of this year's 450
championship winners. Prado's
late-race run in the second moto
after falling showed he's the
real deal and ready to fight for
the million-dollar prize at next

Drew Adams landed on the podium in
moto one but finished outside the top
10 in race two. His combined results
put him seventh overall. "It was defi-
nitely a fifty-fifty day," he said. "Get-
ting my first SMX moto podium was
a great experience, and I was happy
with that first race. Moto two was
frustrating. I got pushed off the track,
and from there it was difficult to make
passes. I'm going to hit the reset but-
ton this week and make the most of
those triple points at the finale."

Roczen won the opening moto over Prado
but later finished fourth in race two.
