Marcelli Wins FIM TrialGP Final

Marcelli finished the 2026 FIM
TrialGP Championship in Spain,
September 19-20, with the overall
victory and, with it, secured sec-
ond in the overall standings.
Marcelli's teammate Toni Bou,
who clinched the 2026 title at
the previous round, won the first
of two days of competition, with
Marcelli finishing second overall.
It was an important result for
Marcelli, who overtook rival Jaime
Busto for second place in the
championship. Going into Sun-
day's final, Marcelli led Busto by
just one point.
"That was the goal for today:
to finish ahead of our direct rival,
Jaime," Marcelli said after Satur-
day's competition. "There's still
work to be done tomorrow, so we
can't relax."
Marcelli battled Bou all day for
the day's win. They fought it out
through the last section, with Bou
edging out his teammate to take
Sunday's win, but Marcelli was
awarded the weekend's overall
victory and second place in the
championship.
Meanwhile, Busto locked horns
with his Beta teammate Harry
Hemingway, who edged him for
third place in the day's results.
In the final championship stand-
ings, Bou finished well ahead of
the pack with 514 points, while
Marcelli edged out Busto for sec-
ond in the series, 388-378.
Fourth in the championship
went to Beta's Matteo Grattarola
with 326, while Honda/Montesa's
Miquel Gelabert rounded out the
top five with 305 points. Heming-
way ended up in sixth with 281
points.
"I arrived at Pobladura seven
points behind Jaime and under a
lot of pressure, because I wanted
to reclaim that second spot and
show the level we're capable of,"
Marcelli said. "We managed the
weekend very well, and finish-
ing the year with a win and the
runner-up spot is the best pos-
sible way to end the season."
