Different Look T he Honda HRC Progressive team had a different look at the SMX Playoff round in Carson, California. As they have done at a select SMX round for the past two years, the team collaborated with the Pediatric Brain Tumor Founda- tion, featuring special SKDA bike graphics and riding gear showcas- ing the Imaginary Friend Society, a cast of cartoon characters that help children better understand complicated cancer topics. PBTF families were also wel- comed behind the scenes during the weekend, including visits to the team's technical and hospi- tality trucks and a Friday-night dinner hosted under the hospital- ity canopy. The special bodywork will be auctioned off, with pro- ceeds benefiting PBTF. Honda and the PBTF have partnered for more than 35 years to support children and families affected by brain tumors. CN WIND IN THE P34 Hunter Lawrence's factory Honda and all team riders featured special graphics at the Carson SMX round to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Injury Sidelines Wilson D ean Wilson, the defending Australian Supercross Cham- pion, was injured while practicing last week and will miss the re- maining rounds of SMX, WSX and Aus-X Championships. A derailed chain caused the Quad Lock Honda rider to go over the bars, resulting in a broken shoulder. "Scary day yesterday," Wilson said online. "Everything was go- ing great at the track, as I had a lap and a half left and I was done. Unfortunately, my chain derailed after I tripled on a tabletop and was sent over the bars violently. Broken shoulder, and I have to say I'm lucky that's all I did. I'm gutted, as I felt like I was in a good spot and sitting second in WSX and was looking forward to Aus-X Supercross." Wilson was called up to race the SuperMotocross Playoff rounds as a wild card for the Quad Lock Honda team. He'll miss the final round of the SMX Playoffs as well as the upcoming rounds of World Supercross. CN The 2025 Australian Supercross Champion, Dean Wilson, suffered a broken shoulder after crashing while practicing. He won't be able to defend his number one plate in the upcoming championship.
