VOLUME 63 ISSUE 37 SEPTEMBER 15, 2026 P93 BY RENNIE SCAYSBROOK PHOTOGRAPHY BY BRIAN J. NELSON M otoAmerica is full of feel-good stories; one of the best of the 2026 season was Cameron Beaubier's (Warhorse HSBK Ducati Flo- 4Law) triumphant return from wrecking his shoulder at Road America. The Californian did as he so often does, digging deep when the cards are against him to take a popular win over Cam- eron Petersen (Wrench Motorcy- cles Ducati). It was the six-time Superbike Champion's first win in Ducati red. Bobby Fong (Attack Perfor- mance Progressive Yamaha Racing) ensured normal service resumed in race two, but it was once again at the expense of longtime race leader Petersen. Fong closed the gap and stole the lead on the penultimate corner with just over a lap to go, roaring off to the win and a five- point swing in the title race. In Supersport, Darryn Binder (Celtic/Economy Lube + Tire/ Warhorse Ducati) made it a double win and the title in his remarkable debut MotoAmerica season; Hayden Gillim (J&P Cy- cles/Motul/Vance & Hines Fac- tory Indian) and Bradley Smith (Harley-Davidson x Dynojet Fac- tory Racing) shared the Mission King of the Baggers wins; Bryce Kornbau (BPR Racing Yamaha) made it a double and the Mis- sion Super Hooligan title over teammate Andy DiBrino; and Na- than Gouker (Quarterley Racing) and Sam Drane (Yamaha bLU cRU Estenson Racing) shared the Talent Cup victories. The number one roars back. Cameron Beaubier (1) surprised even himself with the race-one win on his return from injury. It was his first P1 in Ducati red.
