ning the 2026 Australian Superbike
Championship, moved into third
and joined Binder and Yaakov at
the front.
Josh Hayes (BPR Racing
Yamaha) and 16-year-old series
newcomer Mikey Lou Sanchez
(Celtic/V1 Moto/Warhorse)
joined the battle as the race
progressed. Josh Herrin (Ra-
hal Ducati Moto with Desnuda
Organic Tequila) was also in
contention until a loose shift-le-
ver-pivot bolt forced him into the
pits, dropping him to 20th.
Binder led into the final lap,
with Voight close behind, but
Voight crashed in the esses, pro-
moting Sanchez to second and
Yaakov to third. Hayes finished
fourth, with Aiden Sneed (3D
Motorsports) fifth.
Binder was untouchable in
Sunday's race two, escaping
early for his 10th win of the
season and 13th podium, while
Herrin finished seventh to end
his championship hopes. Behind
Binder, Voight, Hayes, Yaakov
and Sanchez fought closely for
the remaining podium positions.
Sanchez appeared to secure
second after passing Voight
on the final lap but was later
disqualified when his motor-
cycle was found underweight in
postrace inspection. Voight was
therefore promoted to second
and Hayes to third.
The result gave Binder an
insurmountable championship
lead, 76 points up on Josh Herrin,
with one round remaining.
