UNPUBLISHED OUT TAKES
SUN RISES
Chuck Sun rose to the top of the
world when the factory Honda
rider won the Bel-Ray U.S. Grand
Prix at Carlsbad in 1981. Sun was
only the second American to win
the nine-year-old race, following
Marty Moates's victory the year
before. Sun would later say it was
the biggest day of his career.
