Harley-Davidson
Bagger World Cup
Andrea Iannone (Niti Racing) made
history at MotorLand Aragon,
becoming the first rider to sweep
both races in the FIM Harley-
Davidson Bagger World Cup with a
pair of victories at the penultimate
round of the 2026 season.
Iannone battled teammate
and polesitter Oscar Gutierrez
in Saturday's eight-lap opener,
the Italian ultimately prevailing
by 0.246 of a second after the
two traded the lead and fought
throughout the race. Iannone also
set the fastest lap on the final
lap, while Archie McDonald (Joe
Rascal Racing) completed the po
-
dium. Championship leader Eric
Granado's
race ended in a crash,
handing McDonald an opportu-
nity to take control of the points
standings.
Iannone
was again the rider
to beat in Sunday's second race,
leading from start to finish to win
by 0.623 of a second over Gra-
nado, who bounced back from
his
Saturday crash. McDonald
again finished third, with Gutier-
rez crashing on lap two.
The double
victory gave Ian-
none the maximum 50 points and
moved
him back into champion-
ship contention ahead of the
season finale.
McDonald leaves
Aragon leading the standings on
174 points, seven ahead of Gra-
nado, with Gutierrez third on 148.
Iannone is
fourth, just one point
further back, leaving four riders
still in mathematical contention
for the inaugural title.
