This text is not a road test of
the 1300 RT. We've covered the
ins and outs of this beautiful
BMW thanks to Chad attending
the world launch for us last year
and Keith taking one for a few
months on a long-term test. This
is, however, a nod to the BMW's
ability to transport my son and me
into a realm of tantalizing touring.
Ideally, we'd planned on a
two-night trip up the Californian
coast to Big Sur and back, but
given the holiday traffic and the
fact this was indeed the first
time we'd done a decent-sized
trip just the two of us, we settled
on a single-night ride that took in
the famous Highway 33 as the
main course.
