eventually retired early from the
race. The DNF from Kitchen al-
lowed Davies to mathematically
clinch the title one moto early
before cruising it in for 13th in
the second moto and finishing
seventh on the day.
"I'm bummed with how I ended
the season at Ironman," Kitchen
said. "I felt pretty good on the
bike throughout qualifying and
was hoping to put together a
strong final round, but unfortu
-
nately the first moto didn't go our
way. It's disappointing to end the
season like this."
For Davies, this is his first
Pro Motocross title in only his
second season and is the first
rider from New Zealand to do so.
