fired back in moto two, passing
and holding off Hunter for third
at the line. An 11-3 kept Jett
off the overall podium for the
second week in a row and saw
the number-one plate slip away
by just two points.
"It's a new feeling for me,
getting second in a champion
-
ship," said Jett. "I put my heart
into it, but today was just an off
day. I tweaked my foot so many
times in practice and in that first
race, so it was a bummer. I tried
my best in that second one, but
I was just finished. Hunter rode
unreal this year. He was the
main guy; I did my best to try to
get him, but I just couldn't get it

Hunter Lawrence and Eli
Tomac tied for points on the
day, finishing fourth and fifth,
respectively. This was Tomac's
best overall finish in the out

doors this season.
"I found a good flow in moto
two, and it was nice to finish the
day strong like that," Tomac said.
"I had a lot of fun on this track –
it was one of the best tracks that
I have ever ridden, in my opinion.
For how technical it was, and the
things that it offered for us to
race, it shaped up well."
