Silly Season Update
T
he game of musical chairs
known as "Silly Season" is
seeing pieces fall into place for
the 2027 SuperMotocross World
Championship season as team
announcements continue to
trickle in.
Shane McElrath announced
his time with the Quad Lock
Honda team will come to an
end after this year's AMA Pro
Motocross Championship. No
confirmation yet where he'll land
in 2027, but it sounds like it will
be a full-time ride on a 450 team.
Julien Beaumer announced
he's re-signed with the Red
Bull KTM Factory Racing team
through the 2027 SMX World
Championship and beyond.
"I'm really stoked to announce
that I've extended my contract
with Red Bull KTM Factory Rac
-
ing," Beaumer said. "I can't thank
them enough for the belief and
hard work they put in. These last
three years have been amazing
and I couldn't be happier to be
with the group of people that I'm
with."
Benny Bloss and the Liqui
Moly Beta Racing team have
agreed to a two-year contract ex
-
tension to race the Beta RX 450F
in the 450SX class. Bloss started
with the brand during their inau
-
gural Supercross campaign back
in 2024 and will continue with
the team through 2028.
"Signing on for two more
years with Beta was an easy
call," Bloss said. "This is the
longest I've been in one place in
my whole career, and there's a
reason for that."
