Do Not Enter T he U.S. Marine Corps wants to remind the public of the previously announced plans to close the popular off-road rid- ing area in Southern California, the Johnson Valley Shared Use Area, in order to conduct military training during the following time periods. The first of three planned closures has already gone into ef - fect, which started on August 13 and is expected to last through August 27. The two other planned closures will take place on Feb - ruary 12-24, 2027, and August 13-26, 2027. The closure periods include the necessary time required to complete pre- and post-training inspections of those lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management, and visitors are reminded to observe the base boundaries and be aware of the Shared Use Area's status. When the Shared Use Area is closed for military training, the adjacent Johnson Valley OHV area remains open to the public. The Marine Corps will continue to implement robust public outreach to ensure the public is informed of the temporary change in land use. For additional information, click here. The 28-year-old previously enjoyed considerable success with Ducati, scoring six MotoGP victories and finishing third in the 2022 championship. He finished fourth in the 2024 title fight after scoring nine Grand Prix podiums, including two victories.
