Binder now leads Herrin by 33 points, with the championship fight reduced to the two Ducati riders at the top of the standings. Twins Cup > Hank Vossberg completed a dominant Virginia International Raceway weekend by sweeping both Twins Cup races and clinch- ing the 2026 championship. The 16-year-old Robem Engi- neering Aprilia rider started from Hayes second and Herrin third. Race two was a very differ- ent affair after rain and lightning delayed the start and reduced the race to 14 laps. With the track drying rapidly, tire choice became critical. Binder missed the sighting lap and started from the back, while Herrin made a last-minute switch to slicks and was forced to start from pitlane. Hayes made the most of the chaos, quickly escaping at the front to claim his 90th career AMA road racing victory. Binder produced a remarkable recovery from 18th to finish second, while BPR Racing Yamaha teammate but not without a fight. Josh Herrin (Rahal Ducati Moto with Desnuda Organic Tequila), Kayla Yaakov (Rahal Ducati Moto with Droplight), Alessandro Di Mario (Rahal Ducati Moto with Roller Die + Forming) and Hayes (BPR Racing Yamaha) all featured in the early battle. The lead changed hands repeatedly among Binder, Herrin and Hayes before Binder made a decisive move at turn one with three laps remaining. Herrin challenged again on the final lap but ran wide at turn 14, allowing Hayes through to second. Binder won by 0.5 of a second, with Superbike Race One Highlights Superbike Race Two Highlights Mathew Scholtz (11) makes his feelings known after being taken out in the massive first-turn crash in the restart of race three.
